There are also plans to show full length Estonian films during KLENK-IEP. Names of films, times and locations are posted in the program. Please check back frequently, as other updates will be posted as soon as they are available.In keeping with the themes of Estonian Culture and Heritage, there will be a variety of presentations, lectures, workshops, Estonian themed movies, singing and dancing presentations as well as opportunities to join in singing and dancing, business networking, and much more.

Of course it wouldn’t be an Estonian Heritage Event without a “Sala Kõrts” or Speakeasy in the later part of the evenings.  We have several lecturers who have committed to present lectures on Estonian heritage and culture, along with a Märt Agu led “rahvatantsu” workshop, yoga classes.  For the first time we will hold “networking” events, that will give participants the opportunity to meet other people with the same interests.  As an example, this could include any of the following topics;

1.  People who lived in the DP camps of (English, US or French) zones of Germany.
2.  Academic organizations
3.  Participants interested in any topic (rahvatants, yoga, music, etc.)

We would like to set up times, place and dates for these events and include them in the program, so please let us know if you would be interested in helping organize/host any of these events.The majority of these KLENK-IEP 2019 events will take place on the days when the ship is at sea during the day. These are the days that the Adventure of the Seas is at sea, sailing from one port to another. The intention is to allow everyone time to visit the exotic ports while the ship is anchored and not miss the adventure on shore.

The KLENK-IEP 2019 will be a full Program, but will try not to conflict too much with the interesting activities that are offered by the Adventure of the Seas.The itinerary offers a private beach party for Adventure of the Seas passengers, at Labadee. That might be a chance to have an Estonian limbo contest as well and even a few games of Volleyball.

This is all in addition to the barbeque, swimming, sun and sand. Just don’t forget your sunscreen.  We will designate a beach that KLENK-IEP 2019 participants can meet at if desired.To be as inclusive as possible, there will be both Estonian and English language presentations in the Program. Please answer the language preference question on the registration page so that it can be taken into consideration when we are planning and also printing the Program.

Check back for more information on specific events, as there may be additions to this page as time progresses.Please see the registration page for information on signing up for the KLENK-IEP 2019 PROGRAM or “KAVA’”.
